Smokes Kitchen – The Afro-Pop & Producer Extraordinaire

Introduce yourself to the multi-talented force known as Smokes Kitchen. Born as Joseph Effiong Inyang on July 8, 2000, he is a man of many talents. He is not just a gifted Afro-pop and Dancehall singer. In addition, he is a skilled music producer and songwriter.

Originally, Smokes Kitchen was born and raised in Calabar, Cross River State. He is currently based there, drawing inspiration from his vibrant surroundings. Consequently, his music reflects the authentic energy of the region.

Early Career and Production Skills

To begin with, his musical journey started in 2014. However, he took his time to perfect his craft. By 2017, he recorded his first song at Cloud 09 Music Studio in Calabar. Later, he decided to master the technical side of music.

Specifically, in 2018, he learned music production under the guidance of Teddybanty, the CEO of Cloud 09 Music. As a result, he transitioned from just being a singer to a full-fledged creator.

The Independent Journey and Travels

In 2019, Smokes Kitchen became an independent artist and music producer. Impressively, he managed his own mobile studio. This allowed him to travel extensively. For instance, he took his music to different states like Rivers (Port Harcourt), Delta, and Anambra. Furthermore, he expanded his reach internationally to Limbe, Cameroon.

Mentorship and Collaborations

Smokes Kitchen believes in giving back. Therefore, he established a team called “Smokes to the World.” Through this initiative, he trains young artists to sing and become better songwriters. Moreover, as a hitmaker, he has secured top-notch collaborations with Nigerian stars such as Young Bone and Challex D Boss.

Awards and International Recognition

His hard work has earned him major accolades. In 2021, he won both “Best Music Producer” and “Best Artiste of the Year.” Subsequently, in 2022, he released a hit EP titled “Unstoppable Smokes.”

Following that, he stormed the world with an outstanding song titled “Location.” This track won him “Best Song of the Year,” and he claimed the title of “Best Music Producer” once again. Finally, in 2022, he signed a record deal with King & Queen Radio Brooklyn Station in New York.
